I guess you could say I’m on an overnight oat kick right now?

I just shared my first recipe for overnight oats on the blog with you the other day: click here to read more about my Perfect Overnight Oats with Blueberries and get the recipe.

Today’s recipe is a little more creamy than the previous one I shared with you, but still a bowl of perfection with banana laced throughout and packed with healthy fats from grass fed yogurt, chia seeds, and hemp seeds.

If you love oats, but want something cooler for breakfast for these hot almost-summer days, you’ll love this recipe. Although, if you do want to heat this bowl of overnight oats up, that’s an option, too. All you have to do is add the overnight oat mixture to a small pot in the morning and gently heat until warm, then transfer back into your serving bowl!

As always, if you make this recipe, take a picture, post it to Instagram, and tag me @iammegdoll so I can see what you’re eating! I love connecting with you on the ‘gram!

Creamy Banana Hemp Overnight Oats

Ingredients

3/4 cup yogurt of your choice (I prefer using grass fed yogurt and always try to find a yogurt that’s high in fat. This is the one I’ve been buying lately.)

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp hemp seeds

1 serving protein powder of your choice (I do well with whey protein and have been using this one from Vital Proteins)

1/3 cup gluten free oats

1/3 cup unsweetened oat milk

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a glass jar.
  2. Gently mix all ingredients together without mashing the banana.
  3. Cover the jar with a lid and let sit overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Enjoy for breakfast the next morning. Top with your favourite toppings as you wish!
